To invest in the Indian stock market, you need to have a Demat account and a trading account with a registered broker. You can either open an account using offline mode or use an online trading platform.

The key difference between a Demat and a Trading account is that a Demat account is used to hold your securities such as your share certificates and other documents in electronic format whereas a Trading account is used for buying and selling those securities in the stock market.

The market determines the price of the share as per the usual rules of demand and supply. Normally, share prices go up when the company is growing very fast or it is earning very good profits or it gets new orders. As demand for the stock picks up more investors want to buy the stock at higher prices and that is how the price goes up.
